The Past of ShenLong

Wujiang Escalator Factory was established in 1992 under the name of Xinta Town Agricultural Company. In 1996, it was transformed from a collective enterprise into a private-owned entity and renamed "Suzhou Shenlong Elevator Co., Ltd." In 2012, with the approval of the industrial and commercial authorities, the company was renamed "Shenlong Elevator Company Limited by Shares." Through continuous market expansion and growth, the company developed from its initial size of just over 0.2 hectare of land and a 500-square-meter workshop into an enterprise occupying 32 hectare of land, with a workshop area of 180,000 square meters, nearly 2,000 employees, and an annual output value of RMB 2 billion. It has contributed over RMB 230 million in profits and taxes to the local government. On July 1, 2015, it passed the IPO review by the China Securities Regulatory Commission. To meet development needs, it was merged into CRRC Urban Traffic Co., Ltd. in 2021.

   Suzhou Shenlong Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd. was established in 2009 when Shenlong Elevator invested 200 million RMB to found "Suzhou Shenlong Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd." An additional 0.2 hectare of land was acquired, and 33,000 square meters of workshops and office buildings were constructed, mainly for developing stainless steel composite new materials such as elevator door panels and cabins. Under the guidance of the former General Administration of Quality Supervision the company collaborated with South Korea’s KTC Technology Company. In 2018, it was renamed "Suzhou Shenlong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd." and specialized in researching and developing various functional new materials, such as copper + steel + copper and copper + stainless steel + copper composites. These efforts have made outstanding contributions to the functional development of pure copper products and brought new opportunities for enterprises applying new materials in the field.
